About our support groups

Living with bipolar can feel isolating, but you don’t have to face it alone. Our peer support groups bring together people living with bipolar from across Scotland to connect, share experiences and learn from one another in a welcoming and understanding space..

We offer a range of online and in-person groups to help people access regular support.

Browse the list of groups above to find one that works for you. No group in your area? Join one of our online groups on a day that suits you. Before attending, please take a moment to read our House Rules at the bottom of the page.

By accessing our services, you automatically become a free member of Bipolar Scotland, joining a supportive community shaped by lived experience.

Everyone’s experience of bipolar is different. Our groups are a chance to share ideas, hear what helps others and pick up practical tips for living well with bipolar.

There’s no pressure to attend every session. You can join as little or as often as you like, and choose the groups and days that work best for you.

Hear how others manage the ups and downs of bipolar, exchange ideas and explore practical ways to live well.

Who can join?

Our support groups are open to adults living with bipolar, and to friends, family members and carers of people with bipolar.

We offer a range of local and online groups across Scotland, including groups for young adults (18–30), friends and family, and our general discussion group, Bipolar Blether. No group in your area? You’re welcome to join any of our online groups.
